Columbus is currently the nation's #2 hottest housing market, with demand high and supply low.
At the same time there is an estimated shortage of 54,000 affordable housing units in Franklin County alone. Columbus City Council is implementing new policies that provide incentives for developers to build more affordable housing. What else can be done to create more options and provide better, safer opportunities for Central Ohio's working class?
CMC welcomes Rachel Garshick Kleit, PhD, Associate Dean, OSU School of Engineering and Committee Chair of Move to PROSPER, Jaiza Page, Columbus City Councilwoman, Michael Outrich, Social Researcher at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity, and host E.J. Thomas, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity MidOhio, to discuss these topics and answer audience questions.
