Columbus Metropolitan Club “Holiday Fly Away” Raffle

Columbus Metropolitan Club (CMC) and its volunteers shall sell tickets for two (2) for $5 or (10) for $20 for the opportunity to participate in a random drawing for airline tickets donated to CMC by Delta Airlines for charitable purposes.

Prizes will consist of:

Grand Prize:  Two (2) Roundtrip Tickets to the Caribbean or Mexico

3 Prizes:               Two (2) Roundtrip Tickets to USA 48 States

                                Two (2) Roundtrip Tickets to USA 48 States

Two (2) Roundtrip Tickets to USA 48 States

CMC will sell tickets at its luncheon forums in October and November 2018 and online through its website www.columbusmetroclub.org.

Winners will be drawn at the Jingle Mingle, November 29, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Hollywood Casino. Winning holders need not be present at the drawing to win.

The Raffle is conducted by the Columbus Metropolitan Club, a 501 (c)3, physically located at 100 East Broad Street, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215.  The Official Rules of the Raffle are set forth herein and will be made available by request and on the organization’s website.  By entering the Raffle (purchasing ticket(s)), Entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules, waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Raffle of these Official Rules and further agree to be bound by CMC’s decisions and interpretation of these Official Rules.

The mission of the Columbus Metropolitan Club is to connect people and ideas through community conversation.

Eligibility: This Raffle is open to all legal Ohio residents 18 years of age and older. Proof of identity must be furnished upon request. Employees of CMC and their immediate families (spouses, children, parents) and employees of Delta Airlines are not eligible. The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is void wherever prohibited by law.

How to Enter:  Raffle Tickets cost $5 for two (2) or $20 for ten (10).  Here is how to purchase tickets and enter the Raffle:

Online: www.columbusmetroclub.org

Onsite:  By attending a Columbus Metropolitan Club forum and purchasing the Raffle Tickets from a volunteer or employee selling them.   CMC can accept cash or credit card.  Credit card sales require the purchaser to provide full name on the card, billing address, expiration date and security code.

No refunds will be made.

Subject to availability, Entrants may purchase as many Tickets as they wish.  Each ticket is personal and can only be in the name of one (1) Entrant.  Entrants may not sell, donate or otherwise transfer the Ticket(s) to anyone.  Prizes will not be issued to anyone other than the one (1) Entrant whose numbered Ticket(s) matches the Ticket drawn. 

When purchasing, Entrants may distribute their Ticket(s) physically into the box or boxes of their preferred prizes: domestic flights (including Canada and Mexico) or Caribbean flights.  Online purchases must choose to put all of their Ticket(s) towards one or the other choice: domestic or Caribbean flights.

CMC reserves the right to disqualify false entries or entries suspected of being false and any illegible, defective, incomplete or physically altered Entry Form.  CMC is not responsible for printing errors in any Raffle-related materials, or for ticket(s) lost by the Entrant.

Drawing:

Winners will be drawn randomly at the Jingle Mingle, November 29, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Hollywood Casino, 200 Georgesville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43228.  Winning holders need not be present at the drawing to win. The drawing date may be extended at CMC’s discretion for up to thirty (30) days to allow for additional entries of for any other reason.  All drawings are final and binding on all matters related to the Raffle.

Prizes:

Prizes include round-trip airline tickets donated to CMC for charitable purposes by Delta Airlines.  Tickets will be for domestic flights within the 48 lower state and Caribbean/Mexico flights available through Delta Airlines booking provisions.

In exchange for promotional value, Delta Airlines is providing the following for the CMC Holiday Fly Away Raffle:

Two (2) roundtrip tickets, coach class, to locations where Delta flies in the Caribbean and Mexico, value of $710 per ticket.  Prize value of $1420.

Two (2) PAIRS of roundtrip tickets, coach, “Q” class to locations where Delta flies in the 48 States, value of $680 per ticket.  Each of the two (2) prizes is valued at $1360.

One (1) PAIR of roundtrip tickets, coach, “L” class to locations where Delta flies in the 48 States, value $500 per ticket.  Prize value of $1,000.

The Prizes may not be exchanged and are not redeemable for cash.  The Prizes are subject to rules and terms set forth by Delta regarding use of the tickets, and CMC is not responsible for any limitations or terms attached to the Prizes. 

Only one pair of tickets will be awarded per person and per household.

CMC is not affiliated with or otherwise sponsored or endorsed by Delta, other than to the extent that Delta donated the Prizes for this Raffle.

Notification:

                CMC will notify the winning entrants on November 30 by phone or overnight mail using the information provided by the Entrant on their Ticket stub.  If any Raffle Winner cannot be contacted by 5:00 p.m. on five (5) business days following the Raffle drawing (December 6), that Entrant will be deemed as forfeiting his prize and CMC will draw a new winner. Entries without complete, valid and legible contact information may be disqualified.

                Each winner will be required to pick up the Delta certificates in person by bringing his winning Raffle Ticket stub and a photo I.D. (such as a Driver’s License or Passport) to CMC offices, 100 East Broad Street, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215.   Standard office hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but Raffle Winners must call to set an appointment to pick up prizes.

CMC will provide the Raffle Winners with an IRS Forum 1099, or other appropriate tax document showing the value of the Prize won by that Winner, at the appropriate time for the following tax filing deadline. In order to claim a Prize or receive any Prize benefits or related services, winners may be required to sign additional forms, agreements, waivers and/or releases.  Failure of a winner to do so or be so eligible may void any rights of winner to claim a prize at CMC’s discretion.  Participants and Prize winners hereby release CMC from any and all claims, liability, loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the awarding, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize or participation in any prize-related activity.

Proceeds:

Proceeds from this Raffle will benefit Columbus Metropolitan Club.

Odds:

Odds of winning depend on the number of Raffle Tickets sold, which will not exceed 3,000.

Privacy:

Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for CMC to use said Raffle Winner’s name and photograph in promotional materials following the Raffle and use to promote future Raffles.

Taxes:

Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Raffle Winner and the Raffle Winner will receive an IRS 1099 or related form for the Estimated Retail Value of any awarded prize.

Each Raffle Winner should consult his/her own tax advisor with respect to the liabilities that may arise from winning a prize in this Raffle. 

Security:

Raffle Entries will be kept locked at CMC Offices, 100 East Broad Street, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215 until November 29, when they will be drawn at the Jingle Mingle hosted at the Hollywood Casino, 200 Georgesville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43228.

Cancellation:

CMC reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of this Raffle at any time at its discretion and the holder of any Raffle tickets waives any and all claims against CMC and releases and holds CMC and its employees, members, and contractors harmless from any and all claims relating to the Drawing or the Prize. If for any reason the Raffle is cancelled, CMC must reimburse each Raffle Ticket purchase within 60 days of the Raffle cancellation announcement. 

Official Rules and Winners List:

A list of all prize winners will be posted on the CMC website on or about ten (10) days after the prize has been claimed and a copy of the winners’ list and of these Official Rules may be obtained by sending a self-address stamped envelope to:  CMC, 100 East Broad Street, Suite 100, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

General Conditions:

The Raffle is subject to these Official Rules set forth in this document.  These Official Rules shall not be changed or replaced by any oral statement made by any employee, volunteer or other person acting on behalf of CMC.  By participating, Entrants agree to 1) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of CMC which shall be final and binding; and 2) waive any rights to claim ambiguity in the Raffle of these Official Rules.  By accepting a prize, Raffle Winners agree to release CMC, its Officers, directors, employees, and anyone associated with the Raffle from and against any claims, damages, disability, attorney’s fees, and costs, loss of life or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from the redemption, acceptance, use of this prize. 

A Raffle Entrants sole and exclusive remedy for any valid claim against CMC arising out of the purchase of Raffle Tickets or the conduct of the Raffle shall be limited to the return of the value of a ticket.
