The mission of the Columbus Metropolitan Club is to connect people and ideas through community conversation. To this end, CMC holds public forums nearly every Wednesday featuring a moderator and anywhere between one and four panelists.
What’s been in the news, or on your mind, that CMC should be talking about? What is current, relevant, and newsworthy? We want to hear your idea!
A few thoughts: CMC does occasionally hold forums that are commemorative (marking notable anniversaries and milestones), but submissions that foster a healthy debate between opposing perspectives are more likely to get the nod from our staff and our editorial board, known as the Program Committee.
Please also keep in mind that CMC receives many more proposals than there are available forum days.
As you consider a topic submission, note that CMC’s Program Committee will consider it using the following criteria:
Thank you for suggesting CMC’s next community conversation!
The CMC Team
Next steps: The CMC Program Committee will discuss your forum topic proposal and evaluate it. The committee may accept it nearly as is, ask for further info, table it for future consideration, or decide that it’s just not a good fit. The Program Committee meets the first Friday of every month and will get back with you as soon as possible following the committee meeting. If you have questions or need further information as you prepare you proposal, feel free to call Doug Buchanan, CMC Vice President of Programming at 614-886-3793 or doug@columbusmetroclub.org. CMC reserves the right to independently solicit and select moderators and panelists.
We send a few e-mails every week with information about our weekly forums, special events and more.
