During her tenure at CMC, the organization has grown significantly reaching nearly 1,500 members, with average attendance at weekly luncheon town-hall style forums of more than 200. Prior to CMC, from 1984-2006, Scott co-owned Wyandotte Wine Cellars, and in 1990 established Wm. Graystone Winery in the Brewery District where she helped guide the restoration of the lower levels of the circa 1875 brewery building on South Front Street. While at Graystone, Scott co-founded the Brewery District Merchants Association, was its president and represented it on Columbus’ Brewery District Historic Commission for nine years.
During her years with the wineries, Scott established Vintage Communication, LLC, writing for several publications including Columbus Business First, Luxury Living, Columbus Monthly, Ohio Travel Magazine & others. She also served as executive secretary of the Ohio Agricultural Council, where she managed regular meetings and the annual Ohio Agricultural Hall of Fame ceremony at the Ohio State Fair.

In her first professional role from 1975 to 1990, Scott directed Public Relations for Countrymark, Inc., (formerly Landmark, Inc.) a $1 billion regional agricultural cooperative serving Ohio, Michigan, and parts of Indiana.

Scott currently serves on the board of the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation and formerly on the advisory board of the Franklin County Extension Services.
She has served on the boards of the OSU Alumni Association, OSU Food Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council, Ohio Agricultural Council, Columbus Historical Society, Ohio 4-H Foundation, Ohio Grape Industries Committee and was president of the Ohio Wine Producers Association’s board. She served on the advisory group that developed the Ohio Proud branding program.

Reared in a Mennonite family on a small cattle farm in Logan County, Scott has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural economics with a journalism specialty from OSU, earned her Accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America and is a Certified Tourism Ambassador for Columbus.

Scott enjoys gardening, and she and her husband Chris are fans of the Columbus Crew, love to travel, and entertain friends in their Clintonville home.
