Executive Director, The Lincoln Theater
Suzan Bradford is Executive Director of the Lincoln Theatre. She joined the team that rebirth the historical site in 2009 as the first General Manager since its reopening. Under her creative vision and direction, the Lincoln Theatre has seven mission driven programs that reflects the nostalgia of the theatre and the innovative programming that is about the artist and the audience.
Bradford’s passion is driven by her 30 years as a dancer, instructor and creative director of traditional West African dance music and culture. Her extensive study, training and travel aboard, has empowered enhanced and educated varied audiences of the richness of this art form and moving it into a valid artform of collegiate study.
First opened in 1928, the legendary Lincoln Theatre is a landmark in African-American and jazz history. After undergoing a $13.5 million renovation funded by a partnership of public and private support, the Lincoln reopened in May 2009 as a multi-use, state-of-the-art performing arts and education center serving the diversity of the central Ohio community. The Lincoln is a bustling hub of activity 365 days a year hosting performances, rehearsals, and classes in the performing arts, as well as a wide variety of community events such as film festivals, meetings, and receptions.
