Lillian is a dynamic advocate and leader committed to advancing the economic empowerment of Latina women and fostering inclusive professional environments. As the Executive Director of the Empowering Latinas Leadership Academy (ELLA), Lillian plays a pivotal role in providing Latina women with the resources and mentorship needed to excel in their careers. Her work with ELLA is instrumental in building a supportive community where women are equipped with the skills and confidence to navigate and succeed in various professional spaces. ELLA, under Lillian’s direction, is a testament to her commitment to fostering environments where Latinas can thrive and lead.

In addition to her leadership at ELLA, Lillian is deeply engaged in advocacy efforts aimed at addressing economic disparities faced by women. She has served as a Grant Captain for the Women’s Fund, actively participating in initiatives focused on closing pay gaps and dismantling gender and racial biases. Her commitment to economic leadership extends to her involvement in numerous panels and discussions, where she shares her insights on the importance of equitable wealth creation for women. Recognized for her impactful work, Lillian received the Distinguished Hispanic Ohioan award in 2023 and the Hispanic Honors recognition from La Grande 102.5 and Telemundo Columbus, highlighting her contributions to the Hispanic community and her dedication to driving social change.

Lillian’s commitment to board service includes roles on the boards of Zora’s House and Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD). In these positions she plays key roles in governance, external relations, and diversity initiatives, ensuring that the voices of diverse communities are represented and heard at the decision-making level.

Through her board service, non-profit work, mentorship, empowerment efforts, and dedication to increasing board diversity, Lillian has made a significant impact on the community, consistently paying it forward by empowering others to reach their full potential.
