Danae King (she/her) covers various underserved communities at The Columbus Dispatch in Ohio. She previously covered religion and immigration for six years and dug deep into the scandal of priest sexual abuse of minors in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Columbus as well as several other faith and immigration topics. King reports on veterans, disabled people, LGBTQ issues and more. She has won several awards for her work at The Dispatch and is passionate about holding powerful people and institutions accountable and telling people’s stories. Before she came to the Dispatch in 2016, King reported at two small Northwestern Ohio newspapers covering business, education and health.
