RΔ§HΔÐ Thomas, born into a musical legacy on the South side of Columbus, Ohio, cultivated his musical prowess from a young age. His mother’s annual Christmas tradition of gifting him instruments, starting with drums, fueled his self-taught journey into music. Influenced by the diverse sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire, Quincy Jones, Cameo, and Whodini resonating in his childhood home, RΔ§HΔÐ’s curiosity blossomed.

Growing up with a father from the streets of Pittsburgh, a Vietnam vet with a worldly perspective, RΔ§HΔÐ absorbed his edge and eclectic musical taste. Locked in his bedroom, he crafted songs from scratch on two JVC cassette tape decks, experimenting with beats, singing, rapping, overdubbing, and “Pause-tape” sampling. This early commitment evolved into a lifelong passion for producing, engineering, songwriting, and performing, defining RΔ§HΔÐ as a one-man band. He reflects, “I am only interested in the progression of my culture and our music,” aiming to recreate the rich, substantive sounds of his upbringing. In a world of replicas, RΔ§HΔÐ continually discovers new yet familiar ground.

Currently, alongside longtime partner/manager “Supa” Mario Pizzini, RΔ§HΔÐ is meticulously crafting an upcoming album, “I Was Told There’d Be Gold,” slated for release in 2025. His goal is to share a timeless sound, elevate the craft to high art, and contribute to the progression of cultural and musical landscapes.
