Michael Wyatt is a Deloitte Cybersecurity Principal with more than 30 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, privacy, and systems engineering. He currently serves as the Cyber Leader for Deloitte’s State, Local, and Higher Education (SLHE) Practice, as well as the Cyber Leader for the state of Texas.

Over the course of his career, Michael has held numerous leadership roles, including leading Deloitte’s U.S. and Global Identity Management practice. He has directed statewide breach remediation initiatives and overseen the design and implementation of comprehensive information security programs for the states of Utah and South Carolina.

Michael has guided the successful design and delivery of numerous complex cybersecurity and identity management projects across a wide range of industries—including state government, higher education, financial services, media, energy, aerospace and defense, and healthcare. His work is distinguished by a deep technical foundation paired with a strategic vision for advancing security capabilities at scale.

In addition to his client and leadership responsibilities, Michael shares his expertise as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas, where he teaches public policy in the Master of Science in Information Security and Privacy (MSISP) program.
