Rhonda West operates a licensed “Type B” family child care center in Columbus’ Eastmoor neighborhood. Ohio’s “Type B” home-based child care centers are licensed to care for between one and six children, with no more than three children under the age of two, and are inspected twice annually by the county representative of the State of Ohio’s Department of Job & Family Services. Home-based “Type B” centers are found throughout the state and provide a key component of Ohio’s child care network.
