Tim runs Data Center Operations for Google’s six active and planned data center sites across the state of Ohio. In this role, he is responsible for day-to-day operations of the electrical and cooling infrastructure that keep the data centers running smoothly, incident response when things go wrong, the talented people who make it all work, and regulatory compliance to local, state, and federal law.

Tim has been with Google in Ohio nearly 5 years. He also worked at Amazon Web Services in Northeast Oregon. Prior to his work in data centers, Tim had a 21 year career in the US Naval Submarine Service spanning from Nuclear-Trained Mechanical Operations and Maintenance Technician to Commissioned Submarine Officer. He spent three and a half years of his career underwater across the globe.

Tim earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in French from the University of Idaho. He resides in Harlem Township with his wife Sarah and four of his seven children.
