Chief Administrative Officer, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Angel L. Mumma serves as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, where she provides executive leadership for the organization’s administrative, financial, and strategic operations. She was promoted to CAO in January 2026 after serving as the Zoo’s Senior Vice President of Finance since June 2022. In her leadership roles, she has overseen accounting, finance, investment management, and organizational strategy for the Columbus Zoo Family of Parks, which includes the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, The Wilds, Zoombezi Bay, and Safari Golf Club.
Prior to joining the Zoo, Mumma served as Chief Financial Officer of the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), where she managed the agency’s financial activities and helped develop a regional mobility initiative that could have resulted in approximately $8 billion in transportation investments. Before COTA, she spent nearly eight years as Director of Finance for the City of Dublin, Ohio, helping guide the city through significant growth and development while maintaining strong financial performance and AAA bond ratings.
A recognized public finance leader, Mumma holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and an MBA from Ashland University. She has also served in community and professional leadership roles, including the Delaware County Finance Authority and higher education instruction.
