Central Ohio District President, KeyBank
Melissa P. Ingwersen is President of KeyBank’s Central Ohio District, which encompasses Franklin and contiguous counties. In her role, she has full responsibility for growing the client base in Retail Banking, Private Banking and all aspects of Commercial Banking in the Central Ohio market. She also partners with all areas of the Corporation to ensure the seamless delivery of Key’s wide variety of products and services to all of Key’s clients in Central Ohio.
Ingwersen joined Key in January 2011. She has over 25 years of experience in a wide variety of commercial lending, strategic planning and management areas with JPMorgan Chase and National City (nowPNC). Prior to joining Key, Ingwersen served as the Market President for Chase with a specific focus on commercial banking and on coordinating the bank’s broader strategies in Columbus.
Ingwersen is a Columbus native and is an active and committed community volunteer. She has served on numerous community boards, including serving as the Past Chair of the YWCA of Columbus and Franklin University. She currently serves as the Chair of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Capitol South Urban Redevelopment Corporation Board, the OSU Health Plan Board, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Board, the Ohio Bankers League Board, and a member of the Columbus Partnership. Ingwersen has also championed several community-wide initiatives through her leadership of the 2003 Operation Feed campaign, the 2004 State Board of Education task force on “Quality High Schools” and the successful 2009 Franklin County Children’s Services renewal levy campaign. Her efforts have been recognized with awards including “40 Under 40” and as a member of the Leadership Columbus Hall of Fame.
Ingwersen is a graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies. She resides with her husband Frank and two children in Bexley.
