Jenae Nykol Talison is a junior at Tennessee State University currently studying Mass
Communications with a concentration in Media Leadership and a minor in Africana Studies.
Jenae was born in Detroit, MI but was raised in Columbus, OH. She graduated from Centennial
High School in 2018. Jenae is heavily involved at Tennessee State University. She is a member
and elected Historian for The National Association of Colored Women’s Clubs, Incorporated,
Women of Empowerment, The Frankie J. Pierce Federated Chapter. Jenae is also a member of
the university’s honors college and served as the sophomore class secretary for the 2019-2020
academic school year. Jenae was also a producer and on-air personality for tsuradio.com. She
also keeps a 3.89 GPA. Currently, Jenae is a television production intern at Indie Connect/4M
Entertainment and her future career goals include being a television director and producer with
the ultimate goal of being the first black woman to start her own streaming service with
exclusive black content, original and previously syndicated shows or to be an administrator at a
Historical Black College and/or University working in Student Affairs and ultimately being
Chief of Staff.
