CEO, Star House
Since 2016, Ann has served as CEO of Star House, leading the organization with a deep commitment to creating safe, supportive pathways for youth experiencing homelessness. A respected advocate and experienced leader, Ann brings ​two decades of impact across youth services, public policy, and systems reform.
Prior to joining Star House, Ann founded mentorship programs for youth and alumni of foster care through Starfish Alliance. She also served as Senior Director and Joyce Foundation Fellow at KidsOhio, a nonpartisan child policy think tank, and contributed to Ohio’s successful effort to extend support for foster youth through age 21. Earlier in her career, she worked in the offices of three state senators as a Legislative Service Commission Fellow.
Ann is frequently called upon to speak on the complex needs of vulnerable youth
and evidence-based strategies to support them. She has provided testimony before Congress and been featured on 60 Minutes. Her public service includes contributing her expertise to the National Institutes of Health HEAL Initiative Community Stakeholder Board, the Ohio Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Commission, the Franklin County Opiate Recovery and Community Engagement Committee, the
local Committee to End Youth Homelessness, and the Board of Directors for the Osotuwa Foundation.
Ann holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from The Ohio State University.
