Chief of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Columbus Metropolitan Library
Anthony Wilson, Ph.D. joined the Columbus Metropolitan Library in 2018 as the library’s Director of Safety and Security and was promoted to the role of Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer (CDO) in January 2022. In the CDO role, he oversees the Human Resources and Security departments.
Prior to coming to CML, Wilson was an Assistant Chief of Police with the Westerville Division of Police. Before working at Westerville, Wilson worked for the Columbus Division of Police for 25 years. During his time in the law enforcement field, he was a certified diversity instructor and taught diversity, equity, and inclusion courses for a variety of Central Ohio police departments.
Wilson earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Christian University, a Master’s Degree from Liberty University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
