Carol Renee Haynes is a distinguished educator, community leader, and advocate, renowned for her impactful work in Central Ohio. Holding a Yale University Certificate in Women’s Leadership, she is a respected member of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Small Business Committee and the 2023 recipient of the Pickerington Chamber of Commerce Athena International Leadership Award.
With a bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from The Ohio State University, Carol has served in various capacities at The Ohio State University Medical Center and Mount Carmel Health System. Certified as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner and a Six Sigma Black Belt, Carol’s commitment to education is evident through her experience as Advocate, Franchisee, Leader, Educator and Adjunct Faculty at prestigious institutions.
In 2011, Carol founded The Haynes School, INC, making a significant impact on early childhood education. As the President and Executive Director, she leads six Kiddie Academy locations with a total capacity of 1,450 students. Previously Carol served on the Groundwork Ohio Advisory Board. Carol is a fervent advocate for educators’ wellbeing, and she consistently searches for solutions to improve early education and literacy while providing an inclusive and equitable environment.
Recognized as the Dispatch Media Group Everyday Hero Semi-finalist, Carol’s commitment to community includes school readiness, addressing Infant Vitality and Maternal-Fetal health and she provides childbirth education classes with an understanding that we have an opportunity to impact outcomes when we harness community resources. Haynes exemplifies a tireless dedication to nurturing future generations and shaping a brighter future.
