Former Member, Congress, 1993-2008
Deborah Pryce is a retired attorney, jurist, and former member of the United States House of Representatives for Ohio’s 15th congressional district, which includes the western half of Columbus and the surrounding suburbs, from 1993 to 2009.
She was an Administrative Law Judge for the Ohio State Department of Insurance, then worked for the City of Columbus, as an Assistant City Prosecutor, then as a Senior Assistant City Attorney, and finally as an Assistant City Manager. She was then a judge in the Franklin County Municipal Court.
Pryce was first elected to the US House in November 1992. Until the election of 2006, she was the Chair of the House Republican Conference, which is the fourth-highest Republican position in the United States House of Representatives. She also served as a deputy Republican whip.
Upon retiring, Pryce worked as an attorney at Ice Miller.
Pryce earned her Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University and her Juris Doctor Capital University Law School.
