Chief Operating Officer, Office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost
Gregory Jackson will be transitioning to a major cloud provider to become a Senior Global Advisory Consultant. However, he recently served 2 ½ years as the Chief Operating Officer for Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost where he oversaw Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, and Facilities Management. During his tenure with Attorney General Yost, Jackson sponsored over $60M in technology improvement in the attorney general’s office including a new Biometric Identification System, Legal Case Management System, Accounting and Collections System, and the rollout of over 500 laptops to enable employees to work remotely, all while reducing annual expenditures by over $2M.
Prior to his tenure with the Oho Attorney General, Mr. Jackson served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services whose mission is to provide a safety net for Ohioans most vulnerable youth, elderly, and unemployed. Mr. Jackson was responsible for a portfolio of $200M annually in IT spend. Mr. Jackson has served in numerous State government CIO positions spanning 14 years including three years at the Ohio Department of Medicaid, five years as the State Chief Information Officer for the State of Ohio, and five years as the CIO for the Ohio Department of Taxation.
In addition to his State government experience, Mr. Jackson served 16 years in the private sector for such companies as Xerox, CGI, and IBM Global Services.
Mr. Jackson obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in Management Information Systems and his Master’s in Business Administration from Ashland University.
