Jatu Boikai

Nurse Manager, Maternity Services, Mount Carmel Health System

Jatu Boikai has been a nurse for more than 12 years and has been in healthcare for over 18 years. Boikai’s passion is women’s health and she has spent the majority of her nursing career in labor and delivery and mother infant nursing roles.
For the past seven years, Boikai has held several leadership positions in nursing and she is currently the only Black nurse manager of a maternity services department in the state of Ohio. Boikai is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice among healthcare professionals as she is well aware that communities are better served when they are well represented in the industries that provide services to those communities.

Boikai holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing Leadership, both from Chamberlain University.
