Jenny Zaerr (@jennysbitesnbooze) started her food blog just for fun in August 2021, when she moved from Seattle back to Ohio.

Jenny grew up in Ohio but moved to Seattle the day after graduating Ohio State in May 2015 with a marketing degree. She began her sales and marketing career in Seattle while experiencing the local restaurant and bar scene, and wouldn’t have had line of sight to living in Columbus if not for the pandemic. She started a Boston-based role remotely in 2021 and decided to begin food blogging later that year while experiencing a “new” city through Columbus which had grown dramatically since 2015. Columbus was a city close to her heart, with Ohio State being the foundation to her career.

What started as a hobby and creative outlet for her developed into a community of 40,000 avid, mostly Columbus-based, food and drink lovers. It’s become a platform for her to master social media marketing, learn about the community and what matters to them, and build relationships with local business owners.
