Jesse Vogel was born in Columbus, Ohio, and earned his high school diploma at Bexley High School, a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College, and his law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz School of Law. He is a licensed attorney and currently works as an immigration lawyer.

His path into politics began during the pandemic, when he helped organize a grassroots effort to support tenants facing eviction in Columbus’s reopened courts while studying law at Ohio State. This experience deepened his commitment to housing stability and community advocacy.
