Dr. John Foltz became the Chair of the Department of Animal Sciences, the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Science at The Ohio State University in October 2017.

Previous to returning to Ohio State, Foltz spent 27 years at the University of Idaho where he served in several positions including Special Assistant to the President for Agricultural Initiatives and Dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.

Foltz received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Agricultural Economics from The Ohio State University and his Ph.D. from Purdue University.
