Mayor & Council Member At-Large, City of Westerville
Kenneth L. Wright is a bridge-builder, advocate, and servant leader. He was elected to Westerville City Council in 2019, and served as Vice-Mayor from 2022-2023. He was re-elected in 2023, and was appointed Mayor in January 2024. Kenneth is the first person of color to serve on Westerville City Council, and to hold the offices of Vice-Mayor and Mayor.
He serves on the Board of Directors for Concord Counseling Services, and is a member of the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club, and a community-based mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio.
Kenneth is an alumnus of the African-American Leadership Academy, Project Diversity, Leadership Westerville, and each of Westerville’s Citizen Academies (Police, Fire, and Citizen).
Kenneth is a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI). He earned a Master of Project Management degree with distinction from the Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in Journalism/Public Relations from Howard University. A native of Washington, DC, Kenneth and his family have lived in Westerville since 2005.
