Vice President, Nationwide Foundation

Kristen Rost is the Vice President of the Nationwide Foundation and a Sr. Director in the Office of Corporate Citizenship. In her current role, Kristen is responsible for the implementation of Nationwide’s national philanthropic strategy and the overall operation of the Nationwide Foundation. She oversees Nationwide’s civic and community engagement strategies. Kristen is also leading the Ohio Opioid Education Alliance, a statewide private-public partnership of over 170 organizations focused on raising awareness of the addiction and mental health crisis in Ohio.

The Nationwide Foundation is a nonprofit private foundation, and one of the largest corporate foundations in the United States. Founded in 1959, the Nationwide Foundation has contributed more than $580 million since 2000.
Kristen currently serves on the board of Philanthropy Ohio and has held leadership positions on several other local and national nonprofit and government boards.

Kristen joined Nationwide in 2018. Prior to joining Nationwide, Kristen served as Executive Director of the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund, the state’s sole public funding source dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect. Throughout her career, Kristen has devoted herself to issues affecting children and families and has held several roles in education and health and human services policy and program management.

Kristen holds bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from Miami University and a master’s degree in American history from the University of Cincinnati. She, her husband Bryan, and their three children reside in Powell, Ohio.
