President, Bexley City Council
Lori Ann Feibel is the City Council President for the City of Bexley. First elected to Council in 2013, she has championed issues that support Bexley’s community vision, including the city being “centered on families of all kinds.” Among her important inclusive-community initiatives, Lori Ann was the leader on recent legislation to prohibit housing discrimination based on Source of Income and is proud that Bexley was the first Central Ohio municipality to adopt this critical protection for all residents. Lori Ann has also served as Chair of Council’s Recreation and Parks Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee.
With a master’s degree from the Ohio State University, Lori Ann taught middle school social studies before beginning her career in public service. Volunteering has been a constant throughout Lori Ann’s adult life. She chaired a committee of Bexley leaders who created The Main Event, a program that happens five times throughout the summer and features a free movie and fun activities on Capital University’s front lawn. As member of the St. Vincent Family Center Board since 2009, Lori Ann is the immediate past Chair of the Board and serves on both the Executive/Finance and the Development Committees. In 2013, she was asked to join the Board of Columbus’s Jewish Family Services. Lori Ann is a member of the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary Club, a sustaining member of the Columbus Junior League, and an active member of TWIG II.
Lori Ann and her husband, Jonathan, chose Bexley for their home when they married 23 years ago. They have three children – Adelaide, Annabelle, and Julius.
