Assistant Director, Ohio Development Services Agency
Matt McClellan is the Assistant Director of the Ohio Development Services Agency (Development), overseeing the day-to-day operations of the agency. McClellan joined Development in 2019 as the Chief of the Community Services Division administering programs and services supporting Ohio communities and individuals in need. McClellan is focused on identifying ways to improve customer service and program management.
Prior to joining Development, McClellan worked at Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), where he worked on the policy, regulatory, and communications team for DriveOhio. The team was responsible for educating Ohioans, businesses, and transportation stakeholders on the benefits of autonomous and connected vehicle technology.
McClellan also worked in the Ohio Secretary of State’s office for eight years, most recently as the Director of Communications. He directed strategic communications and outreach for the office and lead the outreach and education initiatives as the office transitioned from paper to electronic filing.
McClellan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications and Political Science from Otterbein University. He and his wife reside in Columbus, Ohio.
