Megan Koester

Executive Director, North Central Region, Canine Companions for Independence

Megan Koester joined Canine Companions for Independence as its Executive Director of the North Central Region in 2014. In this role she oversees the operations and fundraising of a 14-state region and is currently executing a capital campaign to build a new regional training center in New Albany.

Previously, Koester served as the Senior Director of Development for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. During her tenure, RMHC became a top of mind charity in Central Ohio and completed a capital campaign to become the largest Ronald McDonald House in the World. Prior to this, Koester served as a Development Director at The Ohio State University for the College of Arts & Sciences and as a Campaign Director for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Koester received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from The Ohio State University.
