Assistant Chief , Columbus Division of Police
Nick Konves serves as the Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Columbus and has dedicated more than 19 years to public service, with a career focused on strengthening investigations, advancing technology, and investing in the development of law enforcement professionals. He currently oversees Training, Technology, Professional Standards, the Crime Laboratory, Research and Development, Human Resources, and Labor Relations.
In addition to his law enforcement leadership, he serves as a law professor and as an arbitrator in the financial services industry. Assistant Chief Konves holds a Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, an MBA from Ohio University, and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University. He is passionate about leveraging innovation and training to prepare agencies for the future of policing.
