Exective Director, Muslim Family Services
Nicol Ghazi is an active member of the Central Ohio Muslim community, assuming leadership roles in outreach, youth mentorship and interfaith activities. Having graduated from The Ohio State University, she worked in healthcare, as a clinical provider and in management. In her professional role she was an advocate for the disabled, with a focus on children with disabilities.
Following the birth of her three children she stepped away from her work setting to raise her children for several years, eventually pivoting her work experience to focus on volunteerism in the Muslim community. She has been a long term volunteer and supporter of the programs that advocate for social and economic justice, interfaith understanding and youth development. After almost 20 years of active involvement in the community, Nicol has been privileged to be a part of many positive changes and is optimistically looking forward to what we, as a community, can achieve.
Currently, Nicol serves as the Executive Director of Muslim Family Services of Ohio where she spends her days with an amazing team advocating for families and individuals facing a variety of challenges. She serves families, men and women throughout the Columbus area as she directs the day to day operations of this social service agency. Nicol juggles the precious resources of a non-profit while coordinating a significant number of volunteers and donors to achieve program goals.
