Philip Kopatz is pursuing a master’s degree in Slavic and Eastern European Studies with a focus on the history and international relations of Ukraine and Russia. Philip received his bachelor’s degree in history and psychology from Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. He then completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship at V.N. Karazin University in Kharkiv, Ukraine during the 2019-2020 academic year. Philip’s academic interests include Ukrainian social movements under Soviet authority and the current tumultuous relationship between Ukraine and Russia. After graduation, Philip would like to work in the government sector before entering a PhD program to continue his studies.
