Regina Ann Campbell is the President and CEO of King Arts Complex, Columbus, Ohio. Serving as a major anchor of the Historic King-Lincoln Bronzeville District, the Martin Luther King Jr. Performing and Cultural Arts Complex is an oasis for cultural and educational activities that enhance awareness of the vast contributions of African Americans. Before this role, Regina was the President and CEO of BUILD Institute a small business hub headquartered in Detroit, Michigan.
As a national expert, Regina has a proven track record of creating economic growth by developing and implementing innovation programs and resources to support scaling micro-businesses through acceleration, incubation, and capital programs, working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, and assisting in launching multiple startups. Regina has led teams and initiatives that provided access to $31.4M+ in funding and resources for small
business owners. As a culture advocate, Regina champions entrepreneurship to drive economic empowerment and mobility for women and minorities, and leverages shared cultural experiences to serve the “whole entrepreneur” and community.
Regina understands the ripple effect of entrepreneurship, arts, and culture in urban/rural and suburban communities and how local business, arts, and culture revitalize neighborhoods to create vibrant and thriving communities. Regina is also a social entrepreneur as co-founder and partner of 901 ROC Development, LLC.
Regina has lived and worked in several Michigan communities, such as Detroit, Kalamazoo, Southfield, Grosse Pointe Woods, the Delta Region, Memphis, TN, and the Mighty Midwest in Columbus, Ohio. Regina’s work is a culmination of both economic and social return on investment, building strong communities with job creation and social cohesion via small businesses, arts, and culture.
Regina enjoys volunteering and is a proud active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Junior League of Columbus.
