Robert Crane, M.D.

President, Preventing Tobacco Addiction Foundation

Dr. Rob Crane is Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at the Ohio State University. He is the founder and president of the Preventing Tobacco Addiction Foundation, an organization dedicated to increasing awareness of the risks of nicotine addiction and raising the legal minimum sales age for all nicotine products to 21.

Crane was co-chair for SmokeFree Columbus, the coalition that helped pass smokefree laws in a dozen Central Ohio communities that led to statewide Ohio legislation.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University and his M.D. from the Medical College of Ohio, where he performed post-doctoral research in the Biofeedback Laboratory.
