Sarai Brooks is an LA-area native, originally from Altadena, California, who relocated to Columbus, Ohio nine years ago. She is a braid artist, certified trichologist, author, and the owner of Haven 626 by RaiStyles. Her work centers on protective styling using highquality human hair, with a strong emphasis on scalp health, hair integrity, and delivering an elevated client experience. 

She built her business from the ground up, transitioning from paralegal to entrepreneur and learning every layer of the industry firsthand—from refining her craft to developing pricing structures, branding, marketing, and longterm strategy. Haven 626 is home to three independent stylists who run their own businesses within the space, and she works alongside a salon manager who supports daily operations and growth. 

Sarai is also the author of Protected: Maintaining Healthy Hair While Wearing Protective Styles, a book that reflects her commitment to education and empowering clients to make informed haircare decisions beyond the salon chair.
