Manager of Talent Acquisition and Deployment, Honda of America Mfg. Inc.
Scot McLemore, manager at Honda North America, Inc., leads the development and execution of talent acquisition and deployment strategies. Prior to this assignment he was responsible for strategy development of Honda’s future technical workforce focusing on creating a pipeline of technical talent from middle school through college and into Honda manufacturing roles.
McLemore’s career at Honda spans twenty-eight years including both Engineering and Human Resource functions focusing on Technical Development. He began his career with Honda in 1990 as a manufacturing engineer in the Welding department of the Marysville Auto Plant, Marysville, Ohio. He served as the Manager of Corporate Technical Development for Honda of America Mfg., Inc. leading engineering development as well as an extensive technical training program providing skill development for equipment technicians, engineers and production associates.
McLemore serves as Chairman of the Ohio Manufacturing Careers Council committee, Co-Chairman of the Columbus City Schools STEM Industry Council as well as a member on several Career/Technical Center and Workforce Development advisory committees.
McLemore has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology from Purdue University.
