I spent 28 years as a journalist, news anchor, interviewer and political junkie. It was a great ride covering stories over 4 continents, interviewing newsmakers like former President Jimmy Carter plus witnessing and reporting history at events like 9/11, the 2000 presidential recount and living a month in Beijing to cover the 2008 Olympics. I’m humbled to have been honored by my peers for various newscasts and stories including 7 Emmy awards. However, it came time to hang up the microphone in July 2020 for two tremendous opportunities: to start my own consulting business and stay put in this great capital city. I anchored the news in 6 state capitals since the mid-90’s but soon after arriving in Columbus in 2015 at WBNS 10TV, I knew I didn’t want to leave no matter how my career would evolve.
I’m now taking my decades of knowledge in media, communications, messaging, PR, community advocacy, video production and branding and sharing them with companies like Deloitte. My wife, Julie, and I love living in Dublin and love having two Bearcats attending the University of Cincinnati. The political geek in me was in heaven, spending three weeks covering the presidential recount in Florida in 2000. I’ve been humbled by the honor of six Emmy awards and Arizona Associated Press ‘Anchor of the Year’ award.
