As vice president, Susan serves as the grantmaking, impact and communications executive for the Foundations, providing strategic vision and direction on implementation of these programs. Susan joined the Foundations with 20 years of philanthropic and nonprofit executive leadership experience, serving with Thousand Currents, Common Counsel Foundation, Grantmakers Without Borders, Compton Foundation and other organizations and communities through her former consulting practice, SB Associates. Prior to joining the Foundations, she served as vice president for programs and learning for Philanthropy Ohio.

Susan received her bachelor’s degree in international development from World College West and studied Mandarin and Chinese in the People’s Republic of China. She serves on the Columbus & Franklin County Local Food Advisory Board and is a member of the Harmony Project Community Chorus.
