This event has ended, but don't worry we have a new forum each week!
This forum was originally presented and recorded on August 26, 2016.
This forum originally aired in 2016 in the wake of the most recent presidential election, but is still just as relevant in the world we find ourselves in today. The growing influence of social media and the intersection of news and entertainment leaves many Americans dizzy with an overabundance of news and opinions, and often at a loss for how to discuss it.
Join us on YouTube and Facebook to revisit this discussion and share your thoughts about how the world has changed in the three-and-a-half years since this forum originally took place.
Featuring Jerry Springer, American television host, former mayor of Cincinnati; Thomas Suddes associate professor, Ohio University; and Ted Celeste, Director of State Programs, National Institute for Civil Discourse, former Ohio House of Representatives. Hosted by Jo Ingles, journalist, Ohio Statehouse News Bureau.
Register for today’s forum to stay up to date with the latest from CMC and to learn more about upcoming forums.
CMC will continue with regularly scheduled programming with forums being live-streamed via YouTube and Facebook, free of charge. We encourage you to engage in the Facebook conversation using the comment section.
We ask members to consider making donations to CMC to offset the loss of revenue during this crisis.
