As remote work reshapes demand for office space, iconic buildings like the PNC Building – now called Preston Centre – the Chase Tower, and the Continental Centre are undergoing bold transformations into residential and mixed-use properties. At the same time, the city’s Downtown Strategic Plan calls for 40,000 residents and 120,000 workers by 2040—raising big questions about what kind of neighborhood downtown Columbus will become.
