This event has ended, but don't worry we have a new forum each week!
Retired Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor completed her term on Ohio’s Supreme Court on December 31 and stepped down as Ohio’s longest-serving statewide elected woman. Her time on the court ends in the middle of Ohio’s contentious and historic battle over gerrymandered electoral districts and a looming flight over how voters can approve amendments to the state’s constitution. O’Connor has served in statewide offices since 1998, and endured calls for her impeachment from the Republican party after she sided with Democrats in the state’s ongoing redistricting debate.
Join CMC and host Yvette McGee Brown, Partner, Jones Day, and Former Justice, The Supreme Court of Ohio, for a conversation with O’Connor, reflecting on her long service to Ohio and what the future might hold for voters, the state’s Constitution, and Ohio’s highest court.
