ENCORE The Future of Work: Robots, AI, and Automation (2018)

This event has ended, but don't worry we have a new forum each week!

This forum was originally presented and recorded on August 1, 2018

Automation has been a driving force in the global economy for decades now, but the rapidity with which new artificial intelligence technology is progressing is almost mind-boggling. The question for workers is no longer “will my job still exist?” but “will my industry still exist?” Billions of lives will be affected in the coming years but few people have any answers.

CMC welcomes renowned political scientist, author, and Vice President and Director of Governance Studies at the Brookings Institute,  Darrell M. West, to discuss his latest book, The Future of Work: Robots, AI, and Automation. Joining him will be David HarrisonPh.D., President of Columbus State Community College, and Lisa Patt-McDaniel, President and CEO of the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio.

Sponsored by: Accenture, Columbus 2020, Improving, Regionomics, and Steiner Public Relations
