ENCORE: The National Institute for Civil Discourse (2017) Holiday Archive

This event has ended, but don't worry we have a new forum each week!

This forum was originally presented and recorded on July 12, 2017

A topic as relevant today as it was when first discussed at CMC three years ago. Join us in watching this livestreamed Encore forum this week on Youtube. Disucss and share your thoughts in Chat about civil discourse and what it means to you and to our community at large, especially during this Thanksgiving week.

The Columbus Metropolitan Club, as a model for polite conversation, is proud to host the national launch of this important initiative to restore civil discourse to society and politics. Featuring Tom Daschle, former Democratic U.S. Senator from South Dakota, and former Senate Majority Leader; James “Jim” Thomas Kolbe, former Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Arizona’s 5th congressional district, Carolyn Lukensmeyer, Executive Director, National Institute for Civil Discourse. Karen Kasler, Reporter, Ohio Statehouse News Bureau will host.
