This event has ended, but don't worry we have a new forum each week!
We’ve all heard about the desperate challenges facing our community food banks. Matt Habash of Mid-Ohio Food Collective says supplies are diminishing rapidly due to an increase in demand and supply chain issues that are affecting the amount of food reaching pantries.
CMC is providing two opportunities for us all to pitch in and help!
First, join us to volunteer onsite at Mid Ohio’s new Market at Norton on Thursday, November 3rd, or Thursday, December 8th, to assist our neighbors with grocery shopping. There are a very limited number of volunteer spots available, so sign up now!
Second, donate to our CMC food drives at upcoming weekly forums during the month of November (learn more about MOFC’s recommended donation items), or, donate money directly to the Collective.
Note for volunteers: Those volunteering at the Mid-Ohio Market at Norton will help us guide shoppers through the market while keeping shelves stocked and ready. Volunteers will assist with tasks such as greeting/registering customers as the enter the Market, stocking shelves and refrigerators, cart retrieval, assisting with customer questions as they shop and check-out, and other Market related tasks. For safety purposes, please let the volunteers know to wear close-toed shoes while volunteering with us.
