Ohio Politics Pre Primary Analysis

This event has ended, but don't worry we have a new forum each week!

After seeing this year’s primary season take off with a tumultuous start, Ohioans are in a position to decide the Democratic and Republican candidates for the 2020 presidential election. Although the Republican outcome promises a predictable outcome, the Democratic pool – which started with over 20 candidates – has abruptly become a two-man race.

Join CMC for a discussion about the progress of the 2020 primary elections, how Super Tuesday and the events leading up to it influenced Ohio, and in turn how Ohio will influence the outcome of the general election. Additionally, panelists will discuss how the postponement of Ohio’s primary election may influence the results, and explore the current state of Ohio’s political parties on the state and local levels.

Featuring Kyle Kondik, Managing Editor, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, University of Virginia Center for Politics, Karen Kasler, News Bureau Chief, Ohio Statehouse, and La Trice Washington, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Political Science, Otterbein University. Hosted by Derrick Clay, President and CEO, New Visions Group.
