ENCORE Wil Haygood's Tigerland (2018)

This event has ended, but don't worry we have a new forum each week!

This forum was originally presented and recorded on 9/19/18.

Tigerland focuses on the 1968-1969 seasons of segregated Columbus East High School’s baseball and basketball teams, that defeated white schools to win championships in both sports in the same year amidst a racially charged era.  Author, Wil Haygood is a Visiting Distinguished Professor in the department of media, journalism, and film at Miami University, Ohio. Previously, he spent nearly three decades as a journalist with The Boston Globe (where he was a Pulitzer Prize finalist) and The Washington Post, received the 2017 Patrick Henry Fellowship Literary Award for his research on Tigerland. The CMC forum features Wil Haygood, author with host Larry James, Managing Partner of Crabbe Brown James.
